Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. Nicole Ari Parker is an American stage and film actor. After attending boarding schools during seven years of London the family moved to Toronto Canada where she spent most of her youth and into early adulthood. Contractor was offered the leading character in Pericles following a brief time in University. She auditioned for it at Stratford Shakespeare Festival (Ontario Canada) and was awarded. The year 2002 was a great one for her. Canadian theater critics were awed by her performance during 92 performances of Pericles. The actress accepted an invitation to join Stratford's conservatory. It is a place where only four men and eight women are able to take an intensive 20-week course of classical theater. Contractor received a guaranteed slot for the following season and was given the role of Hermia.
